NUS MBA Business Study Trip To Korea - Friday - Part 1

Our last company visit was to Samsung. To be precise, we were visiting the electronics division, as Samsung has businesses as diverse as heavy industry to insurance.

Samsung is a brand that has gained significant prominence in recent time as well as an association with creativity and innovation. And indeed, even the suuroundings around the area seemed unique...

After the customary presentation, we were brought along for a tour of it showroom...

Like true Singaporeans, we lapped everything all up. We would have snapped everything all up but did not have all that much resources.... So we settled for snapping away at everything...

The second storey was more dedicated to innovation...

These panels respond to touch...

This is the blackboard of the 'future'(or is it the 'present' already?)...

This is the 'Portable Native', an-all-in one device that, if I am not wrong, serves as a credit card, PDA and translator, among other things...

Of course, there were ample reminders of the paraphernalia that we grew up with...

How could there not be a shop after a showroom like that? How could I possibly have bought anything given the state of our finances?

As the Singaporean saying goes..."Can see cannot touch..." This is where they found me when it was time to go...
